The following items may be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Member so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent calendar and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. A roll call vote is required for the consent calendar.
Approval of minutes for the regular meetings of April 26, May 3, May 10, June 7, June 14, June 21, July 12, July 19, August 9, August 23, September 13, September 27, October 11, October 18, October 25, November 1 and November 15, 2005.
Recommendation:
Approve as submitted.
2. DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS IN THE CUSTODY OF THE SECRETARY OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Staff is requesting Redevelopment Agency Board approval of a resolution authorizing the destruction of specific records in the custody of the Secretary of the Redevelopment Agency.
California Government Code Section 34090 provides for the annual destruction of municipal records that are no longer needed, if: they are at least two years old; the City Attorney consents to their destruction; and, the Redevelopment Agency Board approves. A resolution has been prepared approving the destruction of specific records identified pursuant to the Redevelopment Agency Records Retention Schedules. These records are over two years old and are no longer needed; the Secretary of the Redevelopment Agency and the City Attorney have reviewed the listing and consented to their destruction; therefore, approval is being requested to destroy these records.
Recommendation:
Adoption of proposed resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF BURBANK APPROVING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS IN THE CUSTODY OF THE SECRETARY OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY.

REPORT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD:
3. APPOINTMENT TO THE BURBANK HOUSING CORPORATION�S BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
The purpose of this report is to request the Redevelopment Agency (Agency) Board consider making one appointment for a two-year term on the Burbank Housing Corporation�s Board of Directors ending November 1, 2007.
On October 31, 2005, the Secretary's Office began advertising and accepting applications for the vacancy. The vacancy was advertised in the local newspapers, posted on the City Website and notices were run on the Channel 6 scroll in order to obtain qualified candidates. As of the November 18, 2005 deadline, one application from Ruth Martinez-Baenen was received.
The Burbank Housing Corporation was organized to improve and preserve the existing housing inventory in the City of Burbank that is affordable to low-income and moderate-income persons, and to provide community assistance and property management services at existing affordable housing projects within the City.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the Redevelopment Agency Board appoint Ruth Martinez-Baenen to a two-year term on the Burbank Housing Corporation�s Board of Directors ending November 1, 2007.
RECESS to continue the Housing Authority, Parking Authority, Youth Endowment Services Fund Board and the City Council meetings.
