SUBJECT: RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK APPROVING THE 2006 INTEGRATED RESOURCE PLAN FOR THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM OPERATED BY BURBANK WATER AND POWER

 

PURPOSE OF REQUEST

 

Staff seeks City Council approval of the draft 2006 Integrated Resource Plan � Electric System (IRP) for Burbank Water and Power (BWP).

 

The draft IRP was originally presented to the Council on April 28, 2006, and by Council direction brought back for a Study Session on May 9, 2006.   The item has been continued to this meeting in order to afford the Council additional time to discuss the draft IRP and pose questions to BWP staff. 

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

BWP staff continues to recommend approval of the IRP.  If the Council concurs, the appropriate action would be a motion to adopt the resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK APPROVING THE 2006 INTEGRATED RESOURCE PLAN FOR THE ELECTIRC SYSTEM OPERATED BY BURBANK WATER AND POWER.
