BACKGROUND:

On January 26, 2004, the City Planning Board voted to approve a Conditional Use Permit to extend the hours of operation for the multi-tenant building at 990 North Hollywood Way, known as the Old Thrifty Building.

On February 3, 2004, Mayor Stacey Murphy asked for the item to be placed on the City Council agenda of February 10, 2004 so that they may consider the item and determine if they want to set the matter for a public hearing and dispose of the item in the same manner as on an appeal.

If Council does vote to set the matter for a public hearing, staff will schedule the item, send notices to the public and prepare a report

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends that the City Council consider if they want to set the matter for a public hearing.
