DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE CITY POLICY OF BURBANK-GLENDALE-PASADENA AIRPORT FACILITIES: ZONING/SPECIFIC PLAN PROCESS:

 

Recommendation:

Staff recommends that the City Council direct staff to proceed with preparation of an Airport Specific Plan. A specific plan would incorporate zoning controls and land use policies, would exam options for various airport development scenarios, and would provide the City with the ability to look at long-term airport development issues and consider the cumulative impacts of airport development.

REQUEST FROM THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS AND BURBANK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO CONDUCT CANDIDATE FORUMS IN FEBRUARY 2003:

 

Recommendation:

It is recommended that the City Council consider the request from the League of Women Voters to conduct a Candidates Forum on February 12, 2003. Because the League of Women Voters meets the requirements outlined in Resolution No. 24,741, staff is supportive of approving their request and having the City pay the production and broadcast costs of the Forum. It is also recommended that the City Council consider the request from the Burbank Chamber of Commerce in a similar light.

 

Allow League of Women Voters to conduct a candidate forum on February 12, 2003 for the Primary Nominating Election and allow Chamber of Commerce to conduct a candidate forum between the Primary and General Elections.
